Purpose: Supply of potable water to the city of Baghdad
Client: Baghdad Water Supply Administration, Baghdad, Iraq
The aim of the Al Rusafa Water Supply Project is to provide drinking water to Baghdad area with a maximum capacity of 500 MGD (2,275,000 m3/day) to address the deficit in demand. This final stage will be achieved by five streams of 100 MGD. This is the First Stage where 200 MGD has been considered. The following stages of 300 MGD in design of general layout and in arrangement of raw water intake and pumping station has also been taken into account.
